BC Bison Industry Overview
There are approximately 90-100 bison game farms that have about 9,000 heads of animals in BC. Forty five percent of the province bison is produced in the Peace River, 12% in Thompson/Okanagan, 33% in Cariboo/Chilcotin and 4% in the Kootenays and Lower Mainland respectively.
