Life Cycle: Overwinter on host as shiny black eggs that hatch just before bloom of peach. Two or three generations are produced before moving to summer hosts. Winged adults return in fall to lay overwintering eggs. Monitoring: Examine trees for infested blossoms or deformed leaves from pink to petal-fall stages of peaches. Take note of any beneficial predatory insects present among the colonies of aphids. Hosts: Peaches, many other cultivated crops. Comments: Tightly curled blossoms and leaves, and sticky honeydew are signs of green peach aphid attack on peaches. Shoots may stop growing. Body length: Adult - 1.8mm; Mature nymph - 1.5mm
