creeping rooted perennial in the Mustard Family growing from 0.1 to 0.6 metres tall; lower leaves are stalked and hairy while upper leaves clasp the stem and are usually hairless; numerous white flowers produced at the top of the plant give rise to its other common name of "white-top"
heart-shaped seedpods distinquish this hoary cress from lens-podded and
globe-podded hoary cress (Cardaria chalepensis and Cardaria pubescens)
