BC Dairy Financial Programs

• Beef Industry Development Trust Funds, Partnership Programs: Trust Funds are established for specific sectors to provide partial funding as a catalyst for their industry development initiatives. Administrator: Cattle Industry Development Council

• BSE Recovery Program: Resources and links to various BSE Recovery programs in Canada.
  

• Livestock Waste Tissue Initiative: The Livestock Waste Tissue Initiative envisions all renderers and livestock tissue generators - be they producers, slaughterhouse operators or meat processors - being able to dispose of or use specific risk material and other slaughter plant waste tissue in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
  

• Meat Transition Assistance Program is a $4 million funding program announced by the Provincial government in April 2006 to assist with construction and equipment costs associated with upgrading or building slaughter facilities to the new provincial Meat Inspection Regulation.
  

• The Investment Agriculture Foundation of B.C. invests federal and provincial funds in innovative projects for the benefit of British Columbia's agriculture and agri-foods industry. A number of funding programs are accessible. IAF investments assist the industry to innovate, seize new opportunities, and deal with emerging issues and changing market conditions. Funding is not available for farm/business start-up or expansion.
