The Act puts the Creston Valley wildlife management area in trust for the continued conservation, management and development of wildlife. The Act restricts mining and the disposition of land and protects all the natural resources in the area. A management authority is established under the Act to regulate activity within the area. The authority is subject to the minister in the exercise of its functions, powers and duties under the Act. The minister also has the capacity to declare a portion of the area a sanctuary area.
