Liquor Control and Licensing Act

The Liquor Control and Licensing Branch under the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General administers this legislation. The Branch is responsible for issuing, renewing and transferring licenses for the sale of liquor; licensing breweries, distilleries, wineries and their agents; inspecting licensed premises; monitoring the advertising of beer, wine and liquor; and enforcing the Act and Regulations. Licenses are classified according to the type of establishment and the activities within the establishment. [E.g. Class J - Winery lounge (attached to winery)]
