Agricultural Advisory Committees
in British Columbia
A growing number of municipalities and regional districts have appointed agricultural advisory committees (AACs) to provide a direct link to their farm and ranch communities. The AACs provide an effective way to gain advice on a wide range of agricultural issues.
As of April 2011, there were 45 AACs serving local gorernments across B.C. Twenty-one AACs provide advice at a regional level or to multiple jurisdictions. Another 24 serve municipalities, cities, or a Gulf Islands Trust Committee.
