AAC Workshop 2003
On February 20, 2003, more than 100 participants met for a day-long workshop in Abbotsford. Hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries, the workshop drew together AAC members representing almost all of the Committees from around the province.
Others
in attendance included municipal and regional district elected
officials and staff from the Ministry and the Agricultural Land
Commission who regularly work with AACs. As well, several
local government representatives that were interested in exploring
an AAC in their local area came as observers.
Besides discussing ways to more effectively serve their local governments, several presentations were given at the Workshop that highlighted the breadth of issues and activities AACs are involved with.
The
Summary of Proceedings of the Workshop include each of the
presentations made during the workshop as well as a synopsis of the
group discussion which considered several challenges and
opportunities. The Workshop
Appendices includes the Workshop agenda,
a list of participants and a list of the members of AACs and
contacts at the time of the Workshop.
